No horse experience or art experience necessary!
Join us for a beautiful day of community art-making, connection with horses, and building life-giving narratives around the veteran experience. This event is offered freely to veterans seeking to walk a meaningful path forward and empower their creative expression. Through writing and arts activities, we'll work on personal narratives to digest past experiences, understand the present, and envision a bright future.
Veterans will be supported by caring and skilled facilitators Erin Fristad, Mental Health Coach and founder of Wild Cove Farm, and Natasha Terry, Air Force Veteran and Teaching Artist of SparrowSongStudio.com.
We look forward to journeying alongside you!

Erin is the founder of Wild Cove Farm. She was raised by an Army Vet, a feisty rodeo princess, and a half-Arabian mare named Kymba. Erin and Kymba spent her childhood running wild through the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. After a 28-year hiatus from horses, Erin returned to her life's purpose facilitating horse/human experiences that transform people's lives. She completed her first-level Eagala certification in 2016 and started working in Equine-Assisted Activities in 2017. Erin co-founded Warriors & Horses, an Equine Assisted Therapy program supporting veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress. Erin has clocked over 4000 hours as a Mental Health Coach for Lyra Health. She supports clients (software engineers to heavy equipment operators!) all across the United States.

Natasha is an Air Force Veteran and 4th-generation artist. Her approach to facilitation is deeply informed by over 15 years of contemplative practice; more than a decade of teaching hundreds of youth and adult artists; and degrees in Psychology, Teaching, and Interdisciplinary Arts. She serves the veteran community and beyond as a Teaching Artist for Path With Art in Seattle. It only took one trail ride as a young person for Natasha to become hooked on horses, but it was many years before the opportunity to interact with them again arose. In 2015, she volunteered at Alatheia Riding Center. She later trained in horsemanship skills through the veterans program Hope for Heroes in Yelm, before meeting Erin of Wild Cove Farm and becoming dear friends, riding buddies, and collaborators.
